5-12-20   THOUGHTS

My thoughts today are on STAYING UPBEAT IN A DOWN BEAT TIME!
PERSEVERANCE is the characteristic, but I want my steadfastness to be upbeat, positive and optimistic.  A certain “bearing with the mess” is normal, but I still want to grow in this time!
I suppose I am choosing this topic today because I feel in danger of being lazy, of letting circumstances influence who I am.  I want to greet each day, THIS DAY, with power!
I must not allow the happenings of this world to make me who I am!  
                           GOD GETS TO DO THAT, not this world!    
1Cor 3:21-23     So then let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you, 22  whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, 23  and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.
That’s so simple.  I feel like a king when I read that.  I feel free, enabled, eternal!  I know my weakness, but in this reading I am attached to the ALL POWERFUL!

My motivation for what I do today will not come from what I see, but FROM WHO I KNOW!
2Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
Php 4:12-13  I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.  
                 13  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
2Tim 4:5   But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
1Cor 15:58   Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not [in] vain in the Lord.
Let’s go seize the day!

My Prayer:
Revive our souls Oh God.  Make us to see the life and aliveness you have given us in Christ Jesus.  Give us today,  the Joy of knowing YOUR PRESENCE.  Put strength in our hearts and quicken our steps.  Because of your being with us, may we accomplish good this day in some way!                 We pray always in the name of our LORD         Amen
